Mario Domgörgen has been making incredible changes to the next version of bashblogger and I can't wait to release the next version. It's all I can do to stay on top of the patches he's sending in. I can't keep up with the man.
Anyhow, Mario's registered #bashblogger on irc.freenode.net if you'd like to pop in and ask a few fast questions.
Just to get the conversation rolling, Mario's sussed out a new method for the database, done a lot of work towards making the script POSIX-compliant, worked out a new method for implementing themes and fully exposing the site templates without mucking around in the script and a whole lot more.
The new database improvement (from a patch in an email I just received) "loads and writes 20,000 db files in under two minutes". Holy crap is that fast.
So, guys and gals, it looks like bashblogger is going to be getting some major changes here in the near future. Why don't you stop in the irc channel and say hi to Mario.
